MatheMAGICal Day

We had great fun during our MatheMAGICal day.

Mr. Knight did a magic show for us and then we spent the day exploring different tricks that can be done with number and shape.  Multiplying by 11 gives some brilliant patterns. We played ‘I’m thinking of a number’ games and explored how they work. 

We looked for patterns and tricks in the times tables and found ways to help us remember them. 

Year 5 went out and showed the parents that they could solve complicated calculations really easily if you know some tricks.
