Year 6 had an excellent Survival Day, putting their learning about survival to the test in a hands-on experience. The children worked together to design and build weatherproof shelters, using skills they had developed in their design and technology lessons. They practiced fire lighting, learning the importance of safety and resilience. To complete the day, they cooked their own pasta dishes over the fire. For a daring twist, the children bravely sampled locusts, crickets, and mealworms, gaining an appreciation for alternative food sources in survival situations. It was a memorable day filled with adventure and learning!
