We began our Lenten journey with a wonderful Ash Wednesday Service in school led by Fr. Andrew. We prepared our Lenten promises and presented them during our service. These are promises that will help us remember the true meaning of Lent and Easter. Some of us promised to give something up, others promised to do something extra all to bring us closer to God and remind us that in the 40 days and 40 nights before Good Friday Jesus went into the desert where he had no food or water. Father Andrew and Mrs Barnett distributed the ashes which are made from the palm leaves from Palm Sunday last year.
