Tower Wood 2025
Tower Wood!
Between the 30th September and 3rd October 2025, our Year 6 children will be embarking on the adventure of a lifetime… They’ll be spending the week at Tower Wood.
We’ve got lots of different activities lined up and the food promises to be absolutely fantastic as ever!
Whilst we obviously want the children to have fun, we also want them to learn while we are at Tower Wood. We have given the instructors a list of things we would like everyone to develop:
- To become more independent, taking responsibility for our own organisation and actions.
- To develop a sense of resilience – keeping going even when things may seem tough or too hard
- To take ‘safe’ risks when we might not know what will happen
- To step outside of our comfort zones and challenge ourselves to do new or harder things.

Hi Edward and all of year 6! Hopefully you’ve settled into your room with your friends and are having an amazing day! It was so lovely waving you off on the coach this morning – what incredible memories you will be making at Tower Wood!
I thought I’d let you know that Luna is being a menace today and hung up on someone I was in a meeting with haha! Whoops! Chester, Bella and the Axys say hi too.

Raeya, we are so unbelievably proud of you and we are sure you will be already having lots of fun and making lots of memories.

We are missing you already. Especially Henry. He absolutely hasn’t rushed home to hog the playstation shouting “yes no Edward!!” And i am absolutely not relieved that for one Tuesday night i don’t have to stand pitch side freezing at rugby training.

Hi Theo, it looks like you had an amazing first day at Tower Wood. You love climbing so a perfect first day activity for you with your best friends! Well done everyone in Year 6 – you’re all so brave and look so happy together at Tower Wood. Edward R – well done you for all the climbing yesterday! I hope you enjoyed all the Day 2 activities today Theo and I can’t wait to see the photos. I know you will have done brilliantly even if you were trying something new and feeling a bit nervous but you were probably just very excited about everything. I’m so very proud of you. Liverpool lost last night! But we will enjoy watching the Liverpool-Chelsea match on Saturday. Please remember to dry your walking boots if you need to! Lots and lots of love, Mum xxxx

Hi Raeya, we hope your first night was fun and you managed to get some sleep. Did you manage to get up ok today without your Alexa alarm playing K Pop Demon Hunters, lol.
We spoke to HB8 and grandma and grandad last night and they wanted to say they hope you’re having a fab time and they will see you very soon.
