On Tuesday Year 3 had a very special visitor. At first, we didn’t understand what he was saying as he was talking to us ion Latin!

We found out that his name was Marcus and that he had come to train us up for the Roman army.

We spent the morning learning Latin commands, exploring different weapons and armour, practising marching with a Roman scutum (shield) and handling different Roman artefacts.

To finish our morning we all too the Roman soldier oath and Marcus was very impressed with our Latin!
