After learning all about The Incarnation during our half term’s R.E. focus, we have studied several Bible stories and miracles from scripture that showed or proved Jesus was fully human, but also fully God. One of these miracles was when Jesus walked on water in front of his Disciples and calmed the storm, saving them. The children worked in groups of 6 in the hall to recreate the story through drama, using props and really focusing on the reactions and thoughts of the disciples to what they were witnessing. The children did a brilliant job, especially how they added in fine details like rocking the chairs to show they were in a storm. We really delved deeper into why Simon Peter started to sink when he lost faith during the storm and what this showed us about Jesus once again linking to the incarnation; him being fully God.
