To consolidate the children’s learning on their geography topic of ‘Paris’, Year 4 held a French Theme Day. 

The children came to school dressed in the colours of the French flag, then took part in a day of activities all themed around Paris and France! The children:

• Created D.T. structures in small teams of the Eiffel Tower using only raw spaghetti, marshmellows and scissors!
• Played the French target game of boules.
• Got dressed into their fancy outfits for a Paris Fashion Show! The children even spoke French at the end of the cat walk!
• Made models of key landmarks in Paris.
• Had a French buffet with snails, different cheeses, baguettes, quiche, chicken provencal, French onion soup and lots of pastries!

As you will see from the pictures, the children had a very busy day but a really fun day too learning 8 different subjects linking to Paris. Well done Year 4!
