On Thursday 12th December, the Year 4 children had a theme day about their topic this half term, The Great Plague. The Plague Day was aimed at consolidating the children’s learning about how the plague started, what the symptoms and remedies of the plague were and also investigate the outbreak at the village of Eyam in more detail. The children made their own posies from wild materials; conducted lots of drama activities throughout the day and worked together to create some amazing stained glass windows taking inspiration from those in the church at Eyam, telling the story of the plague-ravaged village. The children had a brilliant day as you can see from the pictures.
