Year 5 started the day by learning about rhyme,

How words can match at the end of a line.

We thought about rhythms, steady and clear,

And listened to patterns that we could hear.

We talked about sounds like bang and splash,

Onomatopoeia made our poems flash.

We mixed up ideas some strange, some fun,

Then shared our lines when the writing was done.
