Who said maths can’t be fun? Over the last few days, the Year 6 children have been consolidating their learning by playing lots of engaging maths games. While we are learning written calculation methods, to give the children lots of practice at column addition, subtraction and multiplication we have been playing lots of board games with partners. The children enjoyed playing multiplication 4 in a row and diamond mining to improve their written multiplication. We also played lots of addition games and completed lots of real life challenges based on the popular T.V. show Storage Hunters. Well done Year 6, you have shown excellent progress in your maths work this half term!
