We would love to invite you to visit our warm, friendly and faith-filled school and encourage you to give our Headteacher, Mr Wylde, a call on 01772 684371. He would love to chat to you about our wonderful school and how it could meet the needs of your child and support your family.

Admissions to our school

The closing date for applications for a place in the reception class in September 2027 is has not been announced yet. The offer date has also not been announced.

Open Evening

We warmly welcome prospective families to visit our school and experience our welcoming and nurturing environment firsthand.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Applications

Applications for a place in reception at The Willows in September 2027 must be made online at Lancashire County Council - School Admissions. Parents who wish to seek priority for baptised Catholic children (or parents who are members of other faith communities) should also complete the school’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF). The Supplementary Information Form must to be returned to the school.

To find out more about our school's admissions arrangements through the local authority, please contact Pupil Access North on 01524 581207.

Not sure when to apply?

If your child was born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023, you need to apply between September 2026 and January 2027 to start school in September 2027.

If your child was born between 1st September 2023 and 31st August 2024, you need to apply between September 2027 and January 2028 to start school in September 2028.

Admission into other classes

If you would like your child to start at The Willows after their first year in Reception, these are called In Year or Non-Routine admissions.

In order for us to admit a child into any other class, we need to have less children in that class than our admission number – 30. If this is the case, we can work with yourselves and your current school to ensure a smooth transition. Please note, in the interests of your child’s education, we do not allow any admissions part way through a term.

If you would like to come and have a look around our school, please contact  Miss Stedman in the office on 01772 684371.

Should a class be full, i.e. 30 children, we will add your details to our Waiting List.

Appeals

If you are unsuccessful in securing a place for your child at The Willows you are entitled to appeal the decision.

Your appeal should be submitted using the link below within twenty days of refusal of admission. The appeal provides you with an opportunity to explain why you wish to register your child at our school. The appeal forms and advice on how to complete them is available on the Lancashire County Council website:
